One day Kabu your little haven will be a large thriving town. Of course none of us will ever see it, but if I do meet you one day in a few hundred years time. I hope you will admit that I was right,

One day while I was doing a demo I started talking to a lady who I recognized as Australian accent and I was right and she told me the town she was from but I dont know where the paper went she wrote her info and I was going to mention it sooner but forgot.  My small town I was from in Cali grew a lot of products such as lima beans, and especially strawberries but its not the small town any longer with 250 thousand people and the crime is rapid.

I think sometimes people find it hard to accept newcomers and prefer to mingle within their own circle Kabu especially in small towns. But it will always hold a certain pull and ignite memories.

Thank you Kabu for your comment in my blog and I smiled when I read it. Just one of those poems that summarizes things that happen surrounding me

Nice to walk down memory lane with you. Each town or city is peculiar in its own way.

I have lived in large cities and small towns. Actually the large cities are just small towns crammed one upon another. The little town I live in now has art and theater as good as I have seen anywhere.

A very interesting town you grew up in. Location D is in a small town. It is impressive how much of a tight community it is and how everyone knows everyone's business.

Small towns have their peculiarities! So 'ave big ones - though not quite as visibly so...And of course I noticed everyone seems to be driving on the wrong side of the street! In this country even small-town folk know how to to drive...

People in groups can be so small-minded and fearful generally,

they don't welcome the new or unusual that just might be dangerous.

Lovely history of childhood in a small farm town and you've come all the way to Pembroke for many years now. I love you.

Kabu

How interesting to read about the this town where you were a child! I am looking forward to reading more. Yes, I imagine children learn about a cultural divide quite early. Sad. Seems like there is a collective consciousness now to mitigate that somewhat. Yes, hate to say it, but the town in the picture doesn't appear to be the cheeriest (no offense to anyone who lives there). You and Wiley have a cheery spot!

I'll bet when you were in school you never thought you'd travel

the world and end up in Camelot North...
