Yes mind that bear, I have heard they like to sit outside outdoor toilets. So you are OK. but don't try to get friendly . Soon be time to put the gnomes away again, I suppose they are quite used to it now. What perennials do you manage to overwinter? I am thinking of leaving the dahlias in the ground some roots weigh half an hundred weight, I don't think the cold hurts them as much as the wet.

I have never seen a bear out in the wild. I hope one does not come to my house. I would like to sleep through it as well.

The gnomes are on bear watch so you can enjoy a bit of sleeping in, I would imagine! I love your idea of the perenial flower garden for the bees and butterflies. Lovely, peaceful post.
