Lawsuits do take forever. My sister who was on an elevator in a skyscraper when it suddenly dropped 19 stories and was jolted to a stop on the fourth floor. Died four years later without receiving a penny for her pain, suffering and back problems. Since it was a class-action lawsuit involving quite a few people, it is probably still going on about twenty years later.
