Re: Naut

Thanks Naut, the flower is a perennial  phlox . Usually sold in the autumn as small roots here and pretty hard to get established. I dare not think how much I spent, but they are flowering spasmodically.

Re:

,I want to take it with me , yes I was not thinking straight. I think we just had an inch of rain that should have filled some of my barrels, flowers like the softer water our tap water is treated with a chemicle supposed to help the teeth.

Re: Taps

I expect you had to shout at your sons on occasion. We just can't do without the rain for very long, don't want flooding though.

Re: RPesta

I expect your voice is an asset, I know you would like to sing. Tonsils were taken out en mass once, you were so unlucky. Of course poems are like flowers they live a short time in the mind and then hopefully are saved even if they embarrass. When I was young I would make them up in my mind and remember them, but when I reached about twenty poems it became diffucult.

Re: Katray

Yes Kat I must try harder to photograph the flowers. I shall have to make a special effort and bestow praise on the cake maker. Glad that you feel a bit better.

Re: FS

Yes it make one think FS . It would not pay me to hire a gardener. I just hope he gets better soon.

Re: adnohr

Yes I feel a little bit guilty, but we have about eight young blackbirds and the are a bit simple minded at present. The older ones keep raiding the greenhouse and pecking at the tomatoes.

Another lovely poem, be it in the wrong section or not. A giggle for your secretly sharing the cake.

I continue to hope that Archie feels better...A very dreamy poem, I find it to be.

Gorgeous flower!

Glad Archie is better, you stay dry and well. Can't have your cake and eat it too...:) Sweet, yearning poem wonderfully written, CCT..

Beautiful flower! As for voices, mine is very soft; not by choice, but by accident. A botched tonsillectomy at age 9. My parents should have listened to me. LOL! I told them I didn't want that! And don't you be out in the rain! Stay away from sick folk for now, also! That is funny about you covertly tossing the cake to the birds! I'd buy the cake tin. And your poem is very soft and sweet, of one searching and perhaps not recognizing until too late, but no ripple is ever futile!

I've always wished I had a softer voice, but the more important the matter, the louder I get without thinking.  Beautiful flower.  We had a really good rain here too yesterday and today.  In fact some flooding to the east.

I wish it would rain here. My rain barrels are almost empty. Keep your distance from people with colds and sure buy the cake tin. We can't take the money with us.
