I'm afraid that is a cat for you. Pitiful moved here from an old house full of mice to catch and really missed having them here. Cat toys were not quite the same for her. Not too long ago a mouse got in our house. I bought traps and set them around. We caught the interloper and have never seen hide nor hair of any others. I don't know where that one came from.
