Re: onynix
Thank you onynix, I appreciate your kind words. I saw your lovely poem and am glad you decided to post it so others may read what you wrote. Hope your mother liked(s) it, if she is still with us.

Unbelievably Beautiful
Incredibly worded and a very lovely sentiment, I did one called "Mother" on mothers day some years ago you made me think about placing it here for others to read.

Re: anibanerjee
Thank you ever so much! An interesting word choice. In retrospect I see more her more clearly. Rare is the person who focuses on inner beauty while not being totally cognizant of their own physical beauty. She had the innate ability to parent (along with my father) each of her children as that child's needs required.

This is an exquisite ode to your mom. The word felicity matches so well with the sentimentality of a 'doting' daughter. There is that immediacy of attraction in the first lines where she is unaware of all the beauty that she embodies.

It was wonderful
Well, can't find better ways of saying it.
And I can see that I wasn't the only one (thank God) to share a delayed poem from Mother's Day. But as the geniouses might say:
Better late than never.

Re: Kabu
Thank you again, Kabu. I am glad you and everyone who commented, like it. A dear lady she was, who suffered much, bedridden for years with a mind completely cogent, a prisoner of her body, at the end of her life.

Re: Nautikos
Thank you. She was a lovely lady, and suffered much with illness at her end.

Lovely poem RP a real keeper. That song brings back memories and one can visualize your Momma singing it quite easily.
