Lets face it there was a time between constant wars that would now be considered dream time. One did not have to even think of danger or which country to avoid. Personally if I had to go abroad I would rather go by submarine. Once when the yanks were here we so called farmers had a ride in a real big one . I remember one little plump red face guy saying 'Goodness this has got more pull than my big tractor.'

You dad came up with a good plan there.
I myself have flown five times. I always felt like I was being herded like cattle.

My first flight was in 1955, trip home with my 13-month old daughter
to visit Mama, stand up at my little sis' wedding. The plane was not a jet, and I was fascinated by the prairies and mountain ranges unfolding beneath my gaze. The pressurized cabin wasn't painful to the ears, so my baby didn't cry, but slept to the soothing drone of the motor.

Yep, it sure was different! I never had to tak my shoes off, or my belt, hoping my pants wouldn't fall down around my ankles, and they served real food on board... And now? Just because of you damn Pentecostals...
