Re: Re: Nautikos - Not Panting for Painting? Hah!

No, I wouldn't be panting either over this write or a painting of it! LOL! But the comments made me smile!

Re: Nautikos

I saw this post this second! Hah ha for me. I am laughing, sorry. Yes, I know one can employ some great techniques to achieve the effects of wind. This is one where you shouldn't take me so literally...LOL! I am concrete at times, but not on this one, exactly...well, maybe a little. I am saying, how do you portray or explain the intangible, the invisible, yet something so 'clear' as the wind. Blah blah blah...   I shall probably chuck it; apparently it needed too much talkin'. :)

Re: Nautikos

Okay, I get that, truly! This is to me (probably only to me - LOL!), like a metaphor! Maybe if you took another look... I think of someone who is speak-talking, making it "perfectly clear," and they blow through words like a Sirocco. Perhaps their shade of clear is like a crimson fog to me, different degrees of clear.

Okay, I'm not exactly panting when I think of painting - it's not quite that urgent a matter...

RP

You make me think of panting something! It's been years since I last attempted that...And one can certainly paint the effects of wind, if not the wind itself...

Re: WileyJohn

Thank you so very much! You and Kabu are too kind, and so very generous with your compliments. It is much appreciated. Your bird houses are beautiful, and you and Kabu are such a beautiful and loving couple! I am glad you found each other!

Re: Kabu

I can see it, and it paints a pretty picture.

makes me think of a river boat early in the morn before the sun is really up and the fog horn is blowing for safety sake. Hmnnn a paddle steamer I am thinking.

Re: C_C_T

Thank you. I have now notated this poem to hopefully make it a bit more - clear! LOL

Might be how Turner would have painted it RP. With a ship coming into its harbor. So you can now blow sweet thoughts and warm the Wind.
