Age two is a very formative time for any child: old enough to see and hear and partly understand, old enough to react inside, yet still not old enough to speak up or ask questions.
What's really remarkable is that these memories could be recovered, and as you say, knowing allows for healing. So many of us never are able to bring back to consciousness the memories of when we learned something that shaped our whole lives.

Thank you FS. It was just something that could have happened in those days. One cannot live with past memories if one realises the circumstances.

Re:
Thank you RP. I just thought of this again. Children probably at an early age cannot reason and discomfort is surrounded by one's need to block it out. Of course somethings are too horrible to recount unless one relentlessly tracks back to that time. My family was am ordinary loving family. My mother once told me that she had a job to express love as she had never experienced much due to her father being killed in the 1st war and her mother who came from a middle class family was never very robust. Probably too many children and not enough nourishing food.

Well not by any of my family , probably a frustrated woman and I wasn't a baby I was two years old. It was a nasty thing to carry though.

My heart goes out to you in this post. You have made a good start here. I have zero tolerance for abuse to children or adults, be it verbal, physical, sexual, or a combo thereof. You are a survivor, and to be commended. May peace find your path.
