still operating on Puritan/Victorian assumptions and rules. If I gotta go and there is only one bathroom available, I don't much care about the sign, if it's one of those single bathrooms so many places have now. I saw a guy, possibly drunk, who used the ladies', and I don't think he ever figured out he was out of place.

Well I have seen recently quite presentable receptacle for use if one is car isolated and one needs to spend hopefully a penny . I think a man once discovered that his shoe was a suitable substitute when he was in a traffic jam. I think I will suggest that all cars in future are fully equipped to deal with this natural function. I don't know if I can push it for hand basins.

In my view, the whole controversy is a non-issue. They've made a
problem out of whole cloth. The thing is, some of those who drafted the bill were influenced by the irrational fears that predators - namely men in ladies' drag - were lurking in female facilities to pounce on hapless victims. Apparently the lawmakers had no idea how protective mothers are - ignorant of the fact that 99.9% of women close the door in their bathroom stall and never let their little girls go in unaccompanied. I pity the fool who tried such a stunt - the EMT's would find them bloody and battered, their faces and bodies covered with a thousand heel-prints. The law is neither necessary nor logical.

Oh, boy, do I ever identify (no pun intended) with you on this one! Suffice it to say, some of us ladies have our fav bathroom spots picked out for when we do happen to be out and in need of the facilities. it ain't like for the guys in bathroomland. Bladder issues are different for many ladies. We also tend to have "rules." Like cleanlines, paper products, soap... What happened to my rights? Do I have to go to court to prove that I have a right to use a bathroom exclusively for my preferred gender? Maybe I want to use an all-girl bathroom. For the record, it's not trans or gay people at all that I have a concern about; it is the fact that any guy can apparently legally decide to hang in the ladies' room, in any mental state! Rrrhhh!
