Re: shamasehar

Oh, thank you, shamasehar! I didn't mean to do that in the beginning, but it did come out that way!

They rhyme so well together. Loved it.

Great!  I tried a couple some years back.  It was fun but I don't remember how they turned out.

Re: WileyJohn

Thank you, Wiley. It's new for me, tanka. I thought it was supposed to be a bit mysterious...

Re: Nautikos

Thank you, Naut. The message could apply to any 'him' and 'her.' I am thinking of a bit I read about Henry VIII telling his wife (either Jane Howard or Catherine Parr, I think), "Lady, quit plucking on that harpstring..." when she was merely trying to get him to reuinte with his daughter at Christmas, which he did do. The point being, the sweetest sound, even that of a harp, can become annoying or meaningless when heard too often, I suppose. (Hence the term "quit harping...") As for tanka, I need all the scope I can get. LOL! Glad you have the ability to do haiku and tanka.

For speech-to-text, why not try out SIRI on the "Notes" app on your iPhone, if you have one of those, to see how you like it? You should look into getting a program like that for you 'puter, at least on a trial basis, I think.

Re: Katray2

Thanks, Katray2! Fun, yes, but for me, a bit restrictive. Had to try one, though.

Re: C_C_T

Thanks, CCT! Yes, they do look like cherry blossoms. Thanks for the nice compliment, but blossom may be a stretch  here... LOL!  And your other comment made me laugh out loud! Glad you liked it!

RP

Very nice - and of course mysterious! One does ask oneself of the relationship between 'him' and 'her'...Tanka offer a bit more scope than haiku - I did one not too long ago. But I'll probably stick with doing the odd haiku - there's less typing involved, and I totally hate and detest typing more than is absolutely necessary! Maybe I should get myself one of those 'Speech-to-Text' thingies that would allow me to dictate stuff into my 'puter, but I've heard they haven't been perfected yet, so maybe I'll wait. Oh well...

Look more like cherry  RP. I am sure no one could resist you if you blossomed. I wonder why the Japanese have to torture themselves. Oh yes I liked it.
