I have never seen a wolf in person. I guess Maryland is too far away for them to show up...Lovely nature music at night.

I shouldn't think a wolf makes much noise when it is happy. So I expect that was a an unhappy Gnome. I sometimes hear an hedgehog snuffling at night that is pretty frightening don't ya know.`Keep your windows shut and don't howl back that's my advice.

The element of being so close to nature must be inspiring and awesome at the same time. Lovely haiku. Here, it's mostly birds calling.

I used to hear wolves when there was a lot of wild country around the
small towns - loved the sense of the natural world, even if it could be dangerous. I know it must be so comforting to be in Camelot North and be in touch with all that.
