No i don't think you are a bit odd...I believe that they practice attacks on us before they go overseas. We have the forces stationed just up the road from here and every so often a bomber comes real close over the top of our house. I always say to Wiley that we have been bombed again.
Same in Wagga Australia. Air force base right next to the little wagga airport is regularly bombed with w bomber coming from Sydney and bombing Wagga airport and flying on to Melbourne on the South coast. The whole trip including coming in low over Wagga take a about 20 minutes and they are back in Sydney. But it does upset Mr. Graysome here.

Yes well Kat we don't like reality sometimes. War is dirty, sadly only those who experience it realize it. Drones or bombs can kill indiscriminately as we all know. I don't know the answer, it is part of this life apparently.

Such a great take-off from "Twas...!" Interesting to read also, and your touching way of speaking about the children's souls was, well, out of this world! And to answer your question, I would definitely answer in the negative, not at all have you been reading too much about that topic. It's unnerving and disturbing to have choppers so close. Great poem, great content.
