I do not recall ever having seen a partridge before...My favorite local bird is the Oriole.

We've been having a really great amount of birds, but nothing like that partridge.

A very nice photo it looks like a corncrake to me. I am glad that you feel better. Don't forget to use your sun cream when you do your gardening. Also the gomes might appreciate a rub over.
