You did well, and it all worked out. There are people who like to know all they need to do so they can organize their day (sounds like your Dad could be one of those) and ther are others who become overwhelmed with your wonderful wording of a Storm of Tasks, and do better receiving the task list in smaller increments (sounds like you are one of those). Perhaps you and Dad could discuss this when there is no pressure from overload.

I like that expression 'Storm of Tasks' Now I just have to figure out how to translate it into French (so that it has the same ooomf!) then I can mention it to my employer...who is NOT my dad...

Oh don't y' just loath wasting time listening to musac while you are on hold on the phone. it probably made all the other tasks ahead of you for the day pretty daunting as to how to get them all done.

I alluded to this problem in a comment a few posts back..... too many things to do, too little time, too much responsibility. Your phrase "Storm of tasks" is a good term for it!
