We'll sit inside watching the snow fall and think of your Martin doing well with his sailing.
HAPPY EASTER and I love you

Winter has an iron grip on you up north. Right now, we are getting spring-like weather. I think other than a potential flurry here or there, the accumulating snow is done for a while.

retirement is meant to be enjoyed
and to sit back and watch our offspring do things WE never would have done! And so proud of them for doing it. My oldest was due to retire from the Marines after 20 yrs, at age 40, still young enough to start another career. When I called the base Chaplin to let him know his grandma had passed, they said he had been deployed overseas...? with 3 months left at rank of Sgt. Major, what is he doing being deployed overseas? Recieved a satellite phone call at 2:30 am my time( you can always tell if its a sat call because it pings every minute) and explained they had promoted him and gave him a 20,000$ re-up bonus for 4 more years, and when I asked where he was" Sorry pops, can't tell ya that " huhmm, 12 hours difference between here and Iraq...

Who ever is Son's Uncle? I wouldn't sail out in that if you offered me ten dollars.
