Re:
Hello drdianne, and welcome. My daughter needs to learn when to be quiet, and to remember that I'm mother.. Just basic respect really, but she hasn't had the best example in her dad (my ex). I love her dearly and I know she loves me, so it will all settle down and we'll have a lovely time at her friend's wedding.

Re:
I'm not sure it's frustration CCT.. More a case of wishing mummy and daddy were still together, ten years on... She has her own troubles and I'm 12,000 miles away so we can't talk that often. Her dad has a lot to answer for and she'll see that one day and understand.

Now I think your daughter becomes frustrated with you Meme. Sometimes one has to please oneself and be damned to the consequence. Always remember sometimes someone needs you more than you need them. Not that I would want to go that far to a wedding, but that is nothing to do with your life.

It is so nice that your daughter is concerned with your welfare. However, she may not be tactful. It is important that she use the right tactics to win you over in a positive manner.

It is such a pleasure to read a Sister doing it for herself...beloved partner is quite abusive, in my opinion, in his passive aggressive behavior. Perhaps so is your daughter.
