Once when we were in a little mountain town in Colorado we stopped in a small store to replentish supplies.  One of the things we purchased for the sons was a big bag of corn chips.  I didn't even realize that when I picked it up and carried it to the register that there was a mouse in it.  He had gnawed a hole into one of the bottom corners and crawled in to eat.  When I sat the bag down on the counter with a few other things, he came scrambling out right in front of us.  The store man offered us a different bag free of charge, but I said, "No thanks, never mind."

When I've had mice in my house, I freak, lol

Fortunately it's been years! Used traps but they are ugh. Good luck with the hunt...

Fortunately, I have never had to deal with mice in my house. I am not too keen on them.

A they love a bit of chocolate on a trap, but use a Little Nipper some catch them by the leg and then one feels sorry for the poor little things.

Annicita

That the mice don't want to take out the dog on a leash doesn't surprise me, but that you have chocolate left over from Christmas does...

Oh boy, what an experience! Yikes, Mighty Mouse lives! Horrid for you. Been there, done that, only it was a rat! LOL. They like the palm trees here, and everything else. Tomato plants rate high on their list of goodies! Best of luck making the critters go away.
