For us, every season, cold, warm, snowy, dry or wet, is proof of climate change. It will be interesting to see what things are in the long-term.

I've been scolding myself for my anti-change attitude lately. I just plain don't like it! Your description of the Rideau Canal being the longest skate... reminds me of a book I read in grade school "Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates," about a boy in Holland - perhaps it was Amsterdam - who loved to skate. The canal froze, and he wore wooden skates, hand carved like the shoes they wore - his family couldn't afford the sleek metal ones... Funny how much of a story like that stays tucked away in file in the back of the mind until some reminder triggers the memory.

I also get tired of hearing about the weather changing! Of course it changes; it's weather! And it goes in cycles. I do love the Rideau Canal picture! That is nice!

I'm not blaming everything on our new PM - a lot of blame must fall on the people who elected him...And I have also been on that Rideau Canal on the ice - you can walk there as well, LOL...

Yes, change does get more difficult to deal with as the years fly by. Familiarity is a comfort but change can clear the cobwebs and awaken the blood; youthfulness of the mind and spirit revisiting mayhap; my two cents or more (sigh, inflation, nothing stays the same ever, blah)..
