Oh, that is so beautiful!! I hope she has made plenty for all her heirs to have as keepsakes and that they are preserved properly, for such work really is becoming such a dying art. I know she gets such pleasure and satisfaction out of doing it...and that you are so proud of her!

It's beautiful! I'm sure even Queen Liz would have been impressed, would have enjoyed fanning herself with it and keep the flies away...

I should think so,it is beatiful. I like to see ladies flutter behind fans. Oh! that was in my previous life, they would only giggle now.

A beautiful photo of Marg's lace and another work of art in her younger sisters writing.

It's such dainty, delicate lace, and an art that could become lost, much like embroidery! Sounds like a good day for cooking comfy food. I may yet bake something...

Beautiful lace. How long did it take her to make that fan?

It's really beautiful. I had an aunt who made tatted lace, but it was
not so delicate as that fan. In a way it's kind of a shame they invented machines to make it, but machines don't develop arthritis from repetitive motion or suffer eyestrain. I think the cold weather and dark days make us want to cook and bake comfort food... You go, girl!
