I wonder you do not get your groceries ordered on-line. Or is it too far out to get this service? You both would be wiser to keep in the warm when it is so cold. Trouble you youngsters won't take advice.

Thankfully, the stores I go to are near me, so it is not too bad to go out, even when it is cold.

Sounds like your lovely neighborhood is becoming a bit of a
"food desert." That's what the social workers are calling urban neighborhoods where there are no markets selling produce, nothing but fast food restaurants & bodegas where they can buy beef jerkey and Hershey bars, cigarettes and beer, but no carrots.
