Yes, it has been noticed that when folk use the automatic pay machines for groceries that invariably they slip a small item passed without paying. I would not think the same folk would dream of doing it when they pay through the operator.Honesty must be seen perhaps.

This one is so clever and funny! In a larger establishment, I could see some old duff trying it, too! In the place my mom lives, one of the residents had her granddaughter living with her but I haven't heard of folks off the street sneaking in...and I think they would recognize any that tried. I will say, though, that I have seen plenty of folks who are not entitled, make a regular habit out of eating the free breakfasts at hotels I have lived at. But, I am never surprised at the way people who consider themselves completely honest rationalize what is actually stealing.....I've seen it my whole career - kind of my own lab of sorts, as a student of human character/nature/personality.
