Yeah, I saw a guy on CNN talk about that - apparently almost half of 800 million you lose in taxes! Doesn't seem worth it - I don't think I'll bother getting a ticket...

Probably, I would say.
With scratch offs, there are a few people who will spend hundreds in one outing. I know of one who will buy a pack of whatever game he likes.

haven't bought a ticket for years. and at my age what would I do with all that money...give it away I suppose.I guess everyone here would get some.

Surely that person was buying for a group?! I mean, surely! Other than an occasional (maybe once a year or so) purchase for a surprise gift to the grandcandies for fun, I never buy those tickets.....the only other time is at work sometimes when they have one of those group pots going where everyone puts in a buck or two every week and it just keeps going continuously with the winnings plowed back in. Someone is the bookkeeper and they buy so many tickets that I can't believe the record-keeping involved!!!
