As you point out in this post, my reason for joining Blogit was to

share the writing experience, get a bit of feedback, etc. However I quickly realized it wasn't exactly a forum for wanna-be authors, but a place where people share their stories, more or less on a day-to-day basis.  I'm not unhappy with the way it worked out.

I agree that it could be better. However there are all levels of writers and who is to say who is serious or not?  A serious writer could be serious about one genre and one genre only. He/she could also be very busy with revenue generating job(s) since blogit as much as I love being here is not.

I know many here do not like critique. I don't always agree with what is said but I do look forward to the feedback as long as it is positive critique and not personal.  Posts should be factual and not a lot of rhetoric to force beliefs whether religious, political etc down our throats.

I'll keep my eyes open for prompts. I write a lot.

I came here to write and to be published and to earn some money.

I admit I have ended up using Blogit for two purposes.

To discipline myself to write a post everyday. To keep this part of the day where I read comment and write the only really disciplined section of my day.

To enjoy coffee and friendship with people I may never meet in person. I have grown to love so many at Blogit. To accept people's right to view the world their own way so long as it isn't hurtful or cruel to others here. This is my coffee shop meet and greet and chat.
