Border Collies are wonderful dogs, and having eyes of different colours won't make him vicious but just a bit conceited for being special...

I'd never heard that one about the different eye color! Isn't it crazy the things people will come up with?! It seems to have always been in human nature - indeed, in all of animal nature - to be the type of person who is afraid or intrigued.....afraid of the unknown, and the different....or intrigued by the same. What one does with that feeling depends on how one is raised, their culture, their paradigm. I don't think it's anymore complicated or 'scientific', than that...JMHO.
