I do feel that the negative events going on throughout the world are wearing on people in America. Hopefully, 2016 is a better year.

I believe most people are kind of in a state of waiting for the other shoe to drop pretty much all the time now.....whether everywhere in the world from some terrorist incident, or some police shooting or new political issue here in the US, or some mass shooting somewhere (usually the US) and a new round of strife and yelling about that.....and then there are the refugees hanging like a big unresolved issue out there....and all the natural disasters plaguing us, sometimes it seems almost routinely. There just hasn't been a whole lot of good news....in the news. And I won't even get into the societal breakdowns. I think we just all have to concentrate on The Golden Rule, and living every minute as fully as we can, in the best way that we can....but never forgetting that we are not powerless, we were not created that way. I found something I wrote down a long time ago that I don't know where I found but I always remember at times like this:
I AM - Two of the most powerful words; for what you put after them shapes your reality.

An idea! Everyone come an join my family here next Christmas!! Yes - there are little gifts for each...emphasis on the word 'Little'...none of us break the bank...but there is oodles of love and laughter and food and a rocking good time! All are welcome!!

Regardless of what happens it is best for us to remain as confident and comfortable as possible. We cannot stop the wills of those in power. Love one another, forgive all and be happy in the moment is the only way to get by happily in the world of today.
