I detest ice underfoot, but this December's weather has been
so uncool. We had a high of nearly 70 F. yesterday - good for the heating bills, tho.

It was 78 here today! Today is the Winter Solstice! This is ridiculous...even for Texas! It's just really thrown me off the Christmas spirit......and then I went to the grocery store and saw all the baking crap and forgot and I was inside the store and so I loaded up the cart with stuff I suddenly wanted to bake...paid for it...walked out into the heat and loaded it up....drove home and unloaded it....now I have it inside and I'm no more in the mood to bake Christmas stuff than the man in the moon (what in the heck does that expression mean?!).....So, since I also bought eggnog during my brief spurt of Christmas spirit while in the grocery store....I have now been drinking bourbon and eggnog...which is the reason you are getting this ridiculous comment....I'm a bit sloshed! LOL!....I still haven't finished wrapping ....hell! I haven't finished all my shopping! And Wednesday, I have to drive to Weatherford...and I need to arrive with gifts purchased, wrapped, labeled....and I would really like to also have cookies baked, fudge made....all my clothes packed, pills included....I need to have been by to see Mama....need to have cleaned this place up and have the animals taken care of....Dang! Kabu! Why am I sitting here venting to you when I have all this crap to be doing!!!!!!

We haven't had any snow at all, and there is none in the forecast, but I just can't seem to get warm and stay warm, even though the house thermometer shows normal. I guess it's just me.
