I am 70 but today I feel old. Tired beyond tears. Your lovely post has lifted me up, set my feet well not tapping but ready to go and unpack my bags anyway. love to both you and to George

I've always known that if I didn't die young, my chances were good of growing old.  I had lots of lessons in that from my two grandmothers, and my mom and dad.  I loved them in a different sort of way when they were old than I did when they were young.  It taught me not to fear old age but to embrace it.

You are more useful imagine, Miss Justi.  And such a huge blessing!  Age is one thing no one wants to focus on, but it's something that comes to us all, whether we want it to or not, so I say, just remember that God has a plan for you, even as you age.

Thank you so much for visiting me again.  God bless you and yours and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and an even more blessed 2016.  Much love to you.

You have wonderful, warm energy that you share, Justi. As far as I'm concerned, age is like cheese and wine - just gets better!

I have to agree that 80 sounds better than 79.  Maybe it's something about the zero on the end that signfies a fresh start or a rebirth of sorts.  Somehow, I know you know what I mean.

Wise words! Oh, and even as a boy I could never see the point of 'making a bed' that would just be messed up again fourteen hours or so later...
