You nailed that one down, a great post about the pup I didn't vote for either. We are going to regret another Trudeau but this one has a lot of his mother in him which will make him look schizo too.

Time will tell Kabu. Folk are as fickle as the politicians at times. Yes I think the old ones should be given an orange at Christmas, that would be a good vote catcher.

Love your bull-riding = politics analogy, it's very fitting...
I agree with you about the switch in thinking this continent seems to have adopted. It used to be little kids were to be seen and not heard - a way for them to observe and learn from their parents who managed to survive ignorant childhood. Yes, we want the world to be kinder to them than it was to us, but pampering and yielding to their whims is no way to toughen them up for the long haul....

That is a problem here in America too, although during election season, the senior citizen vote is courted because they are the age demographic most likely to vote. However, it all gets forgotten once the elections are over. Hopefully, this attitude changes. Sadly, as society becomes more and more individualistic, that makes the culture all the more difficult to change.

I have enough trouble trying to keep up with our politics, but I definitely understand where you are coming from on this. Hopefully he will get a little more wisdom as he moves along in office.

Oh, my dear....I have SUCH a soap box on this subject that I could do at least a three-part vent on it! But, I'll control myself and just relate a recent exchange I saw on a talk show where some millenials answered the charge about how they don't really care about the Baby Boomers and their concerns, etc., because "What have they done for us lately?", and went on to say, "In fact, what have they done for anyone lately?"....with this whole inference being that once you quit being what they consider (assume is) productive, you slide into second-class status.
I wanted to jump through the screen and scream that they have paid the taxes that are paying for the programs you keep voting in.....like insurance until you are 26 years old! And, from everything you see and hear, many of us are raising your kids for you.....and I know many of us are helping you pay your bills, buy your houses....we are taking you back in, or continuing to let you live in our homes long past your childhood...........in other words, there are a lot of grown-up sized children still being raised by all of us old-timers. Sorry.......told you.....my soap box is really big on this one!

I agree about it being a bad thing to not give respect to one's elders
My Dear Grandmother taught her grandchildren that lesson very early on in our childhood and she did it with love and kindness. I didn't know that about Justin's mother; very sad and so sad the stigma on mental illness. It is an unwanted, un-asked for condition, not a personality flaw so you would hope society would have the same empathy as they do for people suffering from other illnesses, but sadly we're not there yet.. Thought provoking entry. Dear Kabu...

I did not watch the procedings...I heard him give an interview a while ago in which he explained why he kicked the Liberal Senators out of the Liberal caucus; it was such confused gibberish that it was then when I began calling him Bozo the Clown...

I never heard that she was mentally ill; however, it appears real since she had a blatent public affair with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. He is such a scum like thing no person in her right mind would have chosen an affair with him.
