I meant it as a tired, timeworn and probably ineffective creature that still does the search thing out of habit... And not one of those high-tech flying computers with death-dealing possibilities.

Interesting! You might reconsider that Drone part, though - Drones don't do any work and don't inquire much into anything, I don't think. They eat and drink, watch the tube and are only out for a good time with their Queen or maybe another one out there occasionally. And when they get old they get kicked out...
