Re: Re: Kabu
Not much of a HUnter me. I just love the deer odor because it says that the lovely creatures are close by.
I kept pigs as a girl. Keep their sty clean and they don't smell and they like to poo in the same place far away from where they sleep so it is easy to keep them clean. A bottle of beer is always welcome to them

Yes indeed Kat I sometimes think it swirls around in softness wishing to reclaim lost chances.

Re: Kabu
I use to love the smell of baby chickens not a bit eggy. The hunter instinct is probably in your genes. Pigs are not too bad if the sty is kept clean, not so good as bacon though.

I like the analysis of the images a whole lot at the end of your poem.

I can often be taken to a special memory by a smell...well depends whether it is a pleasant one.
Wiley is always amazed when I can smell the deer close by. A wild deliciously wonderful bovine type odor. And peaches, How I love a ripe peach picked from one's own tree.

I have typed the first line onto my scrolling screen saver - I have it set on marquee and have alternating lines and sayings that are especially meaningful to me or that I just really like the wording of. I only had three before...now there are four. I love the whole poem but the first verse is especially, special.....and that first line is just perfect.
