Bird's little pet, Daisy, was a nasty but very protective daschund. This fellow was a quick thinker!

The poodle upstairs followed me in the yard to the shed. Sadly I had to close the door. to keep out the dog. When I finished, I saw the poodle six feet away. It startled me. I paused and smiled, seeing if the poodle wanted to be petted. It just stood and its companion a Pekingese type poked its head out of Mrs. Sun's garden. I've had a friendly raccoon in the shed but not a leopard. It could be the location. LOL.

LOL! Actually, dachshunds are intelligent and also very tough! They were bred to go after badgers ('Dachs' is German for badger), and badgers are very tough fighters...The proper English term for these doggies would be 'badger hound', and in Germany they're just called 'Dackel'...
