Stack them upside down if they don't come peacefully. I would get the little chaps to march into their living quarters. Of course I am a gnome doctor and know all their failings. Make sure they complete their ablutions first, I expect you have a little spot for that.
We don't want their boots filled in the winter, it is the frost , enough said.

It is a tricky time of the year. The weather can change at the bat of an eye. Last week, with all the rain, it felt like a super cold October. This week, October has been warm. So far, it has not really even felt like October.

I've been looking at gnomes in the Lowes and local garden stores,
with the idea being to transplant a bit of happy Camelot into fusty old Mundane. But they seem a bit cantankerous and problemmatical. Have you thought of restricting them to a gluten-free diet? That would eliminate their beer ration, which should calm them a bit.
