Kabu
I can tell you what it feels like to be drunk, but I won't go there. On the other hand, your hypothesis is not all that far-fetched - it has been demonstrated that alcohol can develop in people's stomachs from things they have ingested...

Dear innocent if you really want to feel drunk do what I did once, ate a half a pound of chocolates and then was given half a pint of hot rhubarb wine. I just floated around like a barrage balloon, I had to have a cable strapped to my leg, they were afraid I might take off with jet propulsion. Of course I was too much of a gentleman to do that.

Well......interesting theory you have there!! My tummy issues I was having earlier this summer ended up being from left over debris from gall stones from over 20 yrs ago,and 'sludge' that had accumulated...both had accumulated in my bile duct. The doc couldn't believe I hadn't had problems long before but other than reflux which a morning pill controlled, I had always been able to eat and drink anything. My point is, my dear, I hope you don't continue to self-diagnose too long, if you continue to have tummy issues because you never know what might be hiding around in your tubes and tunnels. And, I will also be making apple crumble now!! (to enjoy with my tequila later)

That could have done it. At the diner, I had to give up the chicken wings because they did not agree with me. I did, and I enjoy the dinners more.

The older I get the more it seems the stuff that tastes best to me
has the worst effect on my nether regions. Sometimes I long for the days when we could eat whatever we want, work from sunup to sunset and the only penalty we paid was sore muscles the next day... But maybe I'll make a little bit of apple crumble. Sounds delish!

Hmm, interesting and entirely plausible...
Just eat one serving next time..:)
I do know the temptation to overindulge; met her a few times over incredibly yummy things, so I'm not one to talk, lol...
