Interesting perhaps it is just calling its family . 'Hey lads and lasses, the cook has just thrown out todays meal, I am afraid I hurt my beak on the last offering that's why I sound funny.Be sure to drop it from a great height to kill it, if there's no water available.

I may have seen the same or a similar program as Pat-B. They are fascinating birds, and here they are nearly as big as dogs too!. They were probably yelling 'Soup's on!'

Crows can imitate other birds - I'm sure they can also imitate a dog's barking...:)

Crows are facinating birds and I am not at all surprised by your barking one....I find as I get older I am more and more interested in birds....don't know why....maybe I'm preparing for my wings?LOL!

They actually have a bit of language. And they recognize faces.
Saw a study they did on it on the BBC - or maybe Channel 9 here - about how they talk to one another, and how the new chicks will recognize people, and "bark" at certain ones they remember from one season to the next. Amazing creatures.
