Well said - and it reminds me how competitive some guys are.
An independent gal who turns him down attracts him, but if he gets her he tries to turn her into that compliant little mouse he wouldn't have given a second look. Duh!

Well what a dreamy little fairy, pity I had not been there, I would have said you looked better in Jeans and a woolly jumper. Nice poem just written today I would imagine it is still steaming.
