I like that post-storm quietness. I feel something magical inside when it happens. At twilight, I like how yellow the scenery gets after a storm.

So very true. I am always in awe of Mother Nature and her power because I respect the One who created this beautiful world that we live in. But I'm always glad when the storms have passed over:) It's like the rains and wind wash all the Goookkk away and gives us a new day.

Seems to me the storms are stronger, with heavier rainfall than they
were ten or 20 years ago. In the Midwest most homes have basements - I believe it's so there's a shelter from potential twisters... I turn off my computer during lightning storms, just in case it strikes the power line and makes a surge. Better to be without the internet for that hour or two than a burned out computer.

Amen...gone are the days when I will paddle out
in a hurricane swell. Never was a smart thing to do in the first place, but nothing shows the coiled power of Mother Nature like a fifteen foot groundswell under you're feet.

Those kinds of storms can be unsettling. We live in Tornado alley and sometimes the sounds you hear are just a bit much.

Please Nature be kind to Wiley and Kabu. Yes always unplug if lightening is around, We do not seem to be getting storms like we used to, perhaps it is just a feature that happens over the years and we forget. I think I will rest my brain now and read our Wiley tomorrow, be lucky.
