How true, Freerain
Unfortunately, many rituals have been distorted.  For instance, much of the ritual one finds in Christian churches was borrowed from ancient Pagan religions, from Jewish traditions, and even from Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythologies.  One must seek truth for him or herself, using the structure of religion as a library to assist in the search.  One's religious choices are usually separated from the truths of spirituality, which no person really knows for certain.

fear
I too find fear of failure debilitating. I've been reading a book called Communication and the Human Condition which puts a lot of this stuff in perspective. Cheers!
