What a lovely post from a lovely lady!

Wow, you were involved there for awhile...I tried in different churches too, but like you, couldn't handle the hypocrisy. I didn't know we had a singer in our midst; I bet your voice is very nice too, Dear Kabu...

I too, have forgone the church.  Too many hypocrites and too much corruption, in my personal experience.  Now, I realise that not all churches operate under the same guise, but like you, I've had enough.

I know who God the Father and Jesus the Son are, and I know that I am His.  That is all I need know.  I don't need or want anyone pushing their interpertation of faith on me, nor will I allow them to do so.  I will worship in my own time, my own way, and in the place of my choice, no one else's.

Inside the building is not what the Bible or Jesus calls the Church. The church is the bodies of all those who have been re-born into God's family. It is not our problem when others sin, that is their problem which God will lovingly forgive if they will turn it over to him. Our purpose is to love them anyway, which does not mean you have to ssociate with them. If the Sirit lives in you then you will neve have to fake it nor will you ever be perfect until you are home. We can't be perfect in and of ourselves. God does not ask yo to live by the rules of the 'church' but by the Word of God. I love you sweet lady.

Kabu

🍵Here there’s agreement that churches become clubs rather than the fellowship that the New Testament encourages us to join. As long as necessary, Blogit can be a Christian fellowship. And one can feel blessed by some posts. Jesus is Lord. However, you know because of the way both the entertainment and Christian markets are as I actually commented on one of the Christian blogs, I’m doing entertainment so everyone on Blogit can feel comfortable and have a good time. I wish you and Wiley could have heard how I enunciate. And that was all I did in directing. But you might have thought my accent ‘s British or German (There was a blind (yes) nanny neighbor) love. Well we had to go to church on Sundays I always thought it odd as my parents did not.

Anyway I used to carve my relations names on the pillar where we always sat. I guess it will be there for a few hundred years. Now I want to know more about you, did you eat the tomatoes from your tomato plant?

Outside of the occaisonal wedding and funeral, I have not attended church much. For me, the atmosphere is too holier than thou for me or just a little too loose.

I admire all who believe and live their beliefs - how could I not?

But so many of the so-called 'faithful' miss the point, that we're here to love and help others, not mess with their freedoms...

Re: ChandaKim38

Thanks for your comments. That was half my problem, I never could fake it. LOL...Wiley and I have someone from the Church visit to give us communion and we support finacially so there is always an attachment.

I appreciate such honesty. Some go all of their lives wearing masks and faking it.

"Just Thinking Back"

I know you are not alone in this feeling. One day, you will change your mind to attend. I hope you will give this book a read "Living Beyond Your Feelings" by Joyce Meyer. I am currently reading it. It's helping me a lot. I hope you will take a moment to read it.
