Losing hot water is no fun. I remember when I was in college. I came in early one semester and had the coldest of showers. The maintenance guy showed me the hot water had been turned off.

What you should have done is not use shampoo just warm water, it makes life easier. I don't think too much soapy washing is good for the hair. I expect we wash too frequently just special parts need extra care. Well that's what a doctor told me.
