Kabu
I'm a total child of television...televison whore, junkie, whatever you want to call it...I have no shame, no intellectual airs that prevent me from admitting it. That said, I rarely watch any of the reality shows unless, in flipping through channels, some nonsense catches my attentionlike a deer in the headlights and I may watch it for a time...but that usually only happens for an evening or so until I have satisfied my curiosity. I love movies mainly, but there are some series that I watached for years, some for just a short while and then lost interest. Recently, "Outlanders" and "Game of Thrones" and "The Knick" had me enthralled. I get so many channels on satellite that I haven't moved to Netflix yet, but I do subscribe. I need to reewi my subscriptions because I spend a fortune on all my satellite and subscription services.....I like to keep my options open but I read so much I really have been just watching the news most of the time while reruns have been on.

Netflix has some good programs. Sis is quite often wanting me to come over and watch it together. It is fun to watch with someone.

I don't believe that is all they get up to. I shall take your word for it, but I never watch the television. I did watch it once but I feel it is too much trouble to switch it on and tune the damned thing in. I did like that series that Pat was mentioning however, I think a new series is coming out, so perhaps I'll wind the thing up again.

Netflix has become very popular with some well-acclaimed series. It seems like it is going to keep on growing.

I enjoy watching the stories on PBS, which is Channel 9 here.
Also the science shows, the history programs, etc. - and no commercials. One of my favorites right now is "Doc Martin." It is character-rich, centered on the village doctor and his sweetheart, and the ups and downs of village life. You're right about the "reality" programs - pure trash.
