to me both of these peonies are beautiful, although the pink one is what i grew up seeing in my grandmothers garden. they do not grow this far south, a pity, just like lilacs do not grow down here.

Well I had one it was covered with nettles for years but it became close to a patch that was cultivated and has responded to better treatment. The Japanese tree peony always seems to have much too large blooms perhaps it would look better in a large pot raised to eye level. That is an interesting bloom if smaller than most I think I prefer the single girls.

As far as I'm concerned, they are both beauties who can hold their
own in any flower show. The gnomes are getting just a bit nit-picky, don't you think?
