I am always amazed at the number of banks that spring up all over.....like mushrooms!  I don't really understand it, and they are one business that doesn't seem to go under...like restaurants do.  Of course, I agree with the wisdom of what everyone here has said that one should look before leaping.  On the other hand, I've always had a little magnet on my desk - "no guts, no glory"....that is the spirit that built this country...the spirit that got your dad his car washes I bet....and the spirit that all these folks still coming to America and making it embody.....so, to those who have it I raise my glass!

Starting a bank would be the most difficult of ventures to get involved in.

I agree, I would never have the nerve to try a business in direct competition to the big guns anyway. They just lower their lending rates until you go broke.

 Good move on his part. Also, I have many negative things I could say about big

 banks and big business.... I'll just say "Walmart.'' You understand.
