Annicita has said it all for me. This is so sad, to find and against the odds, to marry and then lose the beloved. My heart goes out to you.

Oh how sad! You were right though and they were wrong. You sound as if you were happy until the moment disease took her away. A love like that is special and much better than a lifelong marriage filled with misery and contempt
