These comments are as all over the place as the back and forth of where Josh and your Dad are in your post....I mean, I have no idea where they are going to end up! You should write mysteries! Of course, it hasn't sounded like this is a true friendship, but more of a business relationship with payoffs for both parties on the side with each feeling the other has been getting the better of the deal. A genuine friendship, the kind I know anyway, can take all kinds of batterings and come out just fine - that's just the nature of friendships.

The relationship must have had a cement floor for it to heal. most friendships after a huge row are finished. I am glad this one continues. perhaps they both needed to vent a lot of angst that they were feeling and then on calming down were able to see that the other one did have some points to be addressed. Nice post FSI
