Can truly relate to this... when my son was quite little, about five or six, he refused to go to visit some friends of ours because he saw a video - just the cover - on the coffee table in their den, and it gave him nightmares... 'Chucky' was the name of the doll, I think?  Poor little mite... makes me want to give him a cuddle even now (he's 29). lol

Funny, the things we once saw through innocent eyes...

that have since taken on a sinister slant. I guess the reverse is true, too.

I never did care much for kewpie dolls,

they seemed to be unattainable prizes at summer carnivals, dancing on a ribbon and attached to a decorative cane. Yikes, that was long ago.

One can see why, Taps, pity they did not cry when he did his deed.

There's a reason why dolls play such prominent roles in horror movies - they're inherently creepy, even when they're grinning, or maybe especially then...

I'm with Kabu on that one...There was a scene in one of King's novels about dolls...I can't remember which one it was

I couldn't help but giggle as I read this....and loved the photo!  It was exactly things like this, probably after visiting my four wild San Antonio cousins...that made me officially 'cancel' my long-standing order for a brother.
