I think it's a great idea - I love it! But thoughts on how to make it easy? To me, the whole thing is impossible! I appreciate the result, but to do it myself would require major surgery - you see, I've got ten thumbs...

I'd communicate with Lulu.com,they do things like that very inexpensively, just look them up online and click (not for publication that the work is for yourself) and see what you find there. Kabu has used them a lot so it may be worthwhile kiddo.

I would take the job to kinkos or your local printer...barring that you could use shutterfly but I know the books might be expensive but they do high quality work
