I have met a few talkers like that. It can be tricky when they are customers at the car washes. Fortunately nothing detrimental has occurred.

So
You got rid of him then... Thank God for that. I mean, if you didn't, how would you be able to write entries here?

i concur, he was lonely, bless you. i had an air conditioner man like that, he talked more than he fixed, so i had to make myself busy when he was around.

Yeah, I know several people like that. They'll completely dominate the conversation. But perhaps he is just lonely. We don't get many visitors either, but when we do, it's never a 'surprise.' We always tell people, Please call first! You never know what we're doing . . .

Actually it sounds like he was lonely. Is that a relation to Taps strange creature?

I don't know why some people are like that. I believe we've all got one.
Ann Landers wrote about that once - someone wrote her to ask what to do about someone who kept dropping in. Ann said post this sign by your doorbell: "If you are
unexpected and uninvited, you are also unwelcome." Maybe it was Dear Abby.

Well not very often one can capture such an intrigued audience. Sorry I am falling asleep listening to this tale. Can you imagine what he thought afterwards. Let me think.
'Poor dears they were so pleased to see me, even gave me the best chair in the house.
I would have stayed all day but I was nearly falling asleep, I had to make a supreme effort to keep amusing them. They sat in wonder listening to my tales, I think they wished I lived next door. Well that's my good deed done, but I must not leave it so long next time before calling.

Yes, we have had that happen also! I must confess I put a piece of construction paper up in the little square window because Bob used to always look in as he knocked. I called it the Bob Welch Blocker.

Re: Kabu
It is the name we gave to our little covered walk way off the mud room. We have this covered area and a wood with rails walk way so we can get to the garage without slip sliding into it. we both fell last Winter. This year it is working well. So it is sort of a mud room off the mud room. Clear as mud I expect. LOL.

It could be that he is lonely instead of you two and just thought you two were nice people. I know how it is when you are not accustomed to havning uninvited guest and some surprise ones come about it can be discombublating.

What is a snow room? Is is what we call a mud room...a room to clean up in coming in from outside from gardening or during the rainy season? I've just never heard the term so I'm intrigued... I'm picturing bowls of snow ice cream....supplies for sledding and building snow men....

Look at the bright side - a lot of extra hot air reduces your heating bill...
