Kabu

What a cutie!  I know y'all are so very proud, and you've every right to be.  Raising a good kid these days is a real challenge, IMHO.  My oldest grandcandie graduates HS this year....her choices aren't made yet but this photo makes me think; I need to talk to her again about them.  What picture of him do you think you'll be looking at the next time you pose that question to yourself?

Sending your kid anywhere is horrifying

At age 15 my daughter went to Germany on a scholorship from the state dept.  911 hits and phone call that I had to be at a phone at a very spacific time to speak with her.  They were all 18 children being gathered up and taken to Burlin to the American embacy.  I would not be able to talk to her for a undetermined time.  Wow, 15 and I can't talk to her?  Then she had her appendix taken out. I could not afford to go.  Then she began to feel resentment from her host family.  Hmm what else can happen.  Little entrapanur, she was asking everyone in the family to send jeans and anything American.  Like tee's with usa or flag on it.  We did not know that she was asking everybody for the same stuff and taking the train to Berlin, which she was now familiar with and selling these goods on the street.  Wow it was better than sending her money.

You can't keep from worrying just a little; isn't that our job:) But in your heart you know that's just part of life and you have much to be thankful for. Wishing him the best Life!!

It's a lonesome old barn of a house, empty and echoing with

memory after the amazing noisy irritating demanding hilarious kid leaves for college. Takes a while to realize you've got your life and freedom back, even longer to decide what to do next.

Well better than being called up to fight Kabu and he will have the time of his life.

Where do all the years go? Well on your tummy of course.

Vutting those apron strings bring so many mixed emotions - but it's all good, and normal.

That little boy is now a big boy and from all the reports he is a wise one. He will do well. Don't worry.
