Take advantage of the vacations and go somewhere.  Great medicine.

Taking time for yourself is great medicine.  I wish I had taken more when I was young, thus I may not be so impaired today.

One of my facinations is Edgar Cayce, he worked all the time.  He was quite famous in his time.  The last interview he gave, he was asked if he would have done anything different in his life, and he said, "I would not have worked so hard".

Live whatever way pleases you but get to enjoy your sleep time as often as your wake time.

Of course, anything that improves your health is good, even if it's just rest. And I would love to have a 'snow day' once in a while. I have so many writing projects that I would love to spend the day doing! I would never get bored . . .

I used to say the same thing, how I hated being home, because I needed to keep busy. I am now not working for another company, and have yet to be upset about it. I realize now that I was just lying to myself because I thought loving my job was the right thing to do.

we all need to change our routine and to have some down time. I have never had a bored day in retirement. There is always plenty to do...even a rest. i am so glad that you are feeling more able to be flexible.

Loosening your grip on things

--It reminds me of riding a horse, clinging tightly as possible to the saddle horn, tense, and terrified to lose the stirrups... Someone once told me to just take my feet out of the stirrups and ride with legs hanging.  I wouldn't at first, but finally took the risk--discovered that suddenly I was synching with the horse's movement with my whole body.  For the first time I could ride a trot without pounding up and down painfully on the saddle. The thing is, the body knows things the conscious mind doesn't.

I think fear of boredom is very common, and people rely on their personal electronics and a world of entertainment to prevent any possible moment of boredom.
